Answer: Yes, OPWILL test instruments can be
charged under the shutdown. The power light flashing indicates charging,
and steady indicates that the battery is fully charged.
2. Touch screen is
insensitive
The reason: Touch screen need to be
calibrated

the touch screen
3. About remote control: via the Ethernet port instrument
PC cannot remotely connected instrument
The reasons:
A. Network cable is damaged or bad
contact.

are not on the same network segment.

5. OTDR meter, cannot test fiber

or the tested fiber optic connectors are dirty
The solution: OTDR with a clean optical port /
fiber optic connectors
6. A large error of the distance
tested by OTDR meter
The
reasons: A. Test parameter setting wrong. For example: fiber refractive
index
B. OTDR optical interface connector
or the tested fiber optic connectors are dirty
The
solutions: A. Adjusting the refractive index according to the optical fiber ( refractive index have 0.01 deviation,
which can cause 7m test error of 1km fiber optic)
B. Clean the optical port / fiber

7. OTDR cannot be seen all links
(Tracks and events are drowned in the noise)
The reasons: A. Setting wrong of the test
parameters leading the insufficient of dynamic range. For example: The
pulse width is too small
B. The dirt of the OTDR optical
interface connector or the measured fiber leads lack of effective
dynamic range
The solutions: A. Choose a larger pulse width
and longer sampling times
B. Clean the OTDR optical interface
connector or optical fibre splice
8. How to reduce the impact of “ghosting”
on the OTDR testing?
A. Reduce the test pulse width.
B. When conditions permit, minimize the
factors that cause the formation of reflective events in the link (
It should minimize the reflection intensity of the connector parts when using
mechanical connection).
9. The insertion loss of OTDR test
is sometimes too large, sometimes too small, and sometimes the "pseudo-Gain"
The reason: Scattering coefficient are
different before and after the connection Points.
The solutions: Take bidirectional
measurements, add the insertion loss of the same point, and then get the average
of the sum.
10. During the test, displaying a
message on the the application indicating that a "load signal and fiber error"
The main reasons: there is optical signal when
OTDR port detect to the fiber link
The solution: Disconnected the fiber from the
OTDR port. Press "Cancel" button to close the message and stop the
test. Test again when exclude optical signal light on the link.
11. Gigabit Ethernet Analyzer,
testing the optical port , one end shows “Link”, and the other end is not “Link”
The main reason: Port configurations are not
the same at both ends of the interconnection. For example,
the rate of one is gigabit, while the other is 100 Mbit; One is open
of auto-negotiation, while the other is closed of auto-negotiation.
The
solution: Modify the configuration of one end to ensure consistent
configuration of port parameters at both ends
